🔸 Claudia Sheinbaum pide a Trump “reflexionar” sobre impactos de la medida, descarta que estén en riesgo los programas sociales y sostiene convocatoria a asamblea.
#INTERNACIONAL | La presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum planteó que México buscará “otros socios” si se mantienen los aranceles de 25 por ciento dictados por Donald Trump, con quien hablará hoy por teléfono.
“Es un momento muy definitivo para México, dependiendo de lo que pase en estos días hasta el domingo. No va a haber sumisión, los mexicanos somos valientes, resistentes y tenemos mucha fuerza”, sostuvo.
En la conferencia mañanera reiteró que la economía “está bien” y que, “de seguir las circunstancias, vamos a buscar a Canadá y a otros países”.
Desde el Salón de la Tesorería, la titular del Ejecutivo adelantó que la llamada que sostendrá hoy con su par estadunidense será por la mañana; más tarde, la mandataria informó en sus redes sociales que la conversación será entre las 9 y las 10 de la mañana, por lo que su conferencia matutina se recorrerá a las 11.
Insistió en que si los aranceles continúan “nosotros también tomaremos decisiones sustantivas para el futuro del país, porque tenemos que defender la independencia, y sí, se va a buscar, si es necesario, otros socios comerciales para proteger a México y a los ciudadanos en el marco de nuestra soberanía y dignidad”.
La decisión de Washington, consideró, “es unilateral y no tiene que ver con el trabajo que hemos hecho. Uno de los planteamientos (de Trump) es ‘¿por qué México exporta tanto a EU?, porque tenemos un tratado firmado por el propio presidente, que en su momento calificó de histórico, el mejor de todo el mundo”.
Por ello, pidió al líder republicano “reflexionar” sobre los efectos de estos gravámenes en las economías de ambos países.
“Lo que supuestamente quiere el presidente Trump es que se muevan de aquí las fábricas… entonces, los aranceles sí van a tener efectos en la economía mexicana, pero también allá, y ya lo vimos en el muy corto plazo, le afectó a EU más en términos de la caída de las Bolsas. Tiene que reflexionar frente a lo que ocurrió en estos días”, instó.
En Palacio Nacional sostuvo su convocatoria al mitin del próximo domingo en el Zócalo, independientemente de que se logre antes un acuerdo con el republicano, ya que consideró necesario explicar los impactos de los gravámenes y las medidas para mitigarlos.
Sheinbaum anticipó que la explicación será lo más sencilla posible y que de llegar a un acuerdo para frenar los aranceles también se informarán los detalles desde el Zócalo capitalino.
“Por eso lo hacemos en la plaza pública. Si llegáramos a un acuerdo, pues de todas maneras hay que explicar qué fue lo que se acordó, por qué y cuáles fueron las decisiones, pues aquí no hay nada que esconder”.
Mencionó que al acto del domingo es para todos los mexicanos, más allá del partido al que pertenezcan y que tiene que ver con la soberanía nacional.
“No somos protectorado; colaboramos, nos coordinamos, buscamos siempre el mejor acuerdo posible, pero frente a una relación bilateral, también nosotros somos autónomos en las decisiones que tomamos”.
También garantizó que los programas sociales no están en riesgo por los aranceles y confió en que México saldrá adelante, pese a que “puede haber un momento difícil.
“Todos los programas del Bienestar, se mantengan o no los aranceles impuestos por EU, están garantizados, todos, y ya pues el domingo vamos a platicar de otras cosas que haremos”, destacó Sheinbaum.
La agenda presidencial de ayer incluyó una reunión en Palacio Nacional con los gobernadores de 24 entidades para revisar el IMSS-Bienestar. “Nuestra prioridad es garantizar un sistema de salud gratuito, universal y de calidad”, posteó la doctora.
