#INTERNACIONAL | El buque escuela de la Armada Mexicana *Cuauhtémoc*, que sufrió un accidente en el que murieron dos cadetes y resultaron heridos otros 19, será remolcado este viernes desde el bajo Manhattan, en el East River, hasta el condado de Brooklyn.
El traslado, programado para iniciar a las 6:45 horas y concluir alrededor de las 8:00, requerirá el cierre total del tráfico marítimo en el East River, entre los puentes de Manhattan y Williamsburg. El operativo contará con la participación de la Guardia Costera de Estados Unidos, unidades del Departamento de Policía de Nueva York y empresas privadas, según informó el canal 4 de la cadena NBC.
El *Cuauhtémoc*, considerado buque insignia de la Marina mexicana, se encuentra anclado en Manhattan desde el pasado accidente, ocurrido cuando intentaba salir de Nueva York el 13 de mayo como parte de su viaje de instrucción con 277 personas a bordo. Durante la maniobra, la embarcación chocó contra el puente de Brooklyn, provocando la tragedia.
El destino del buque será el astillero Brooklyn Navy Yard, una zona industrial donde se espera que se realicen evaluaciones técnicas y posibles reparaciones.
