#MONTERREY | Ante la expectativa del papel que desempeñará China, Roger González Lau, CEO de Grupo Protexa, externó su preocupación por la presencia de inversión china en México y del riesgo de que se desaten adquisiciones de empresas mexicanas.
En opinión de González Lau, el objetivo de estas compras de compañías sería ganar presencia como industria manufacturera en el norte del país y en Estados Unidos.
“Lo que sí me preocupa es que estoy viendo empresas chinas instalándose, comprando empresas mexicanas, ¿qué va a pasar con eso? Porque una realidad es que los chinos todo lo producen, importan todo para ver su proceso, así que en los próximos cinco años me preocupa mucho que se desplace la capacidad de manufactura de nosotros y que sea sustituida por China”, dijo en su exposición en el panel sobre el panorama económico y político de México y Nuevo León para el 2026, organizado por la EGADE Business, escuela de posgrados de negocios del Tec de Monterrey.
González Lau recalcó que esto pudiera ser consecuencia de los aranceles de corto plazo, si se van a detener las importaciones de China hacia Estados Unidos o, para todo fin práctico, de todo el sur de Asia, o bien que usen a México como canal para entrar a Estados Unidos.
En el mismo panel, Betsabé Rocha, secretaria estatal de Economía, comentó que Nuevo León ha seguido desde hace años un modelo económico que ha funcionado.
Resaltó que en este momento hay empresas que están trabajando en el proceso de reubicación de su proveeduría y otras más que ya concluyeron ese proceso, así que Nuevo León se está preparando.
“La clave del futuro es integrar proveeduría local y Nuevo León tiene mucha experiencia en esto, ha sido parte de su historia, un ejemplo de ello fue la Cervecería Cuauhtémoc (hoy Heineken)”, indicó.
Clelia Hernández Orta, directora general de la iniciativa ciudadana Nuevo León 4.0, destacó que el estado tiene el gran reto de desarrollar talento para la industria 4.0, la inteligencia artificial.
Por su parte, Miguel Ángel Santos, decano de la Escuela de Gobierno y Transformación Pública, confía que México salga avante de la revisión del T-MEC y estimó un crecimiento bajo de la economía en 2026.
