#NACIONAL | El Gobierno de México confirmó el primer caso de influenza A H3N2 subclado K en el país.
La Secretaría de Salud federal informó que el paciente recibió tratamiento ambulatorio con medicación antiviral y ya está recuperado.
La denominada super gripe es en realidad una variante de la influenza A H3N2, propiciada por el subclado K.
La mutación se detectó originalmente en Reino Unido, desde donde se expandió por Europa.
La Secretaría de Salud federal detalla que la A H3N2 subclado K presenta características similares a las de la influenza estacional que circula cada año.
Su manejo clínico es el mismo y la principal medida de prevención es la vacunación. Por ello, no representa un motivo de alarma para la población.”
Autoridades sanitarias exhortan a vacunarse para prevenir la influenza, incluyendo la mutación de ‘super gripe’.
Actualmente se aplican en México vacunas contra influenza, COVID-19 y neumococo.
Estas vacunas son efectivas para reducir riesgos, prevenir complicaciones e internamientos y proteger la salud, especialmente de niñas y niños, personas adultas mayores, mujeres embarazadas, personal de salud y personas con comorbilidades”, sostiene la Secretaría de Salud.
En caso de enfermarse de influenza, se recomienda acudir a un médico, y cuando sea necesario, recibir tratamiento antiviral estándar.
Asimismo, se exhorta a los pacientes utilizar cubrebocas y mantener medidas de aislamiento.
