El sistema frontal interactúa con una vaguada en altura, mientras que la masa de aire ártico asociada mantendrá un evento de “Norte” muy fuerte a intenso en el litoral del Golfo de México, así como en el Istmo y Golfo de Tehuantepec, donde se espera oleaje elevado y rachas de viento capaces de generar afectaciones a la navegación y actividades costeras.
Además, persistirá un ambiente frío a muy frío en gran parte del territorio nacional, con heladas y bancos de niebla en zonas altas de la Mesa del Norte, Mesa Central, oriente y sureste del país. No se descarta la caída de nieve o aguanieve en cimas por arriba de los 3 mil 800 metros sobre el nivel del mar, como el Popocatépetl, Iztaccíhuatl, Pico de Orizaba, Cofre de Perote, Nevado de Toluca, La Malinche, Sierra Negra y el Ajusco.
Por otro lado, el ingreso de humedad del océano Pacífico favorecerá lluvias muy fuertes en Guerrero, así como chubascos en estados del occidente, centro y sur del país.
Autoridades recomiendan a la población extremar precauciones ante posibles encharcamientos, deslaves, caída de árboles, oleaje elevado y descensos bruscos de temperatura, especialmente en zonas montañosas y costeras.
