#INTERNACIONAL | El creador de contenido peruano Dan Herly Fernández Ramos, conocido en TikTok como «Fake», fue condenado a nueve años y dos meses de prisión efectiva por utilizar sus redes sociales para ofrecer teléfonos celulares de alta gama que nunca entregó a los compradores, informaron autoridades peruanas.
De acuerdo con la investigación de la Primera Fiscalía Corporativa Especializada en Ciberdelincuencia de Lima Centro, el sentenciado promocionaba principalmente modelos de iPhone a precios atractivos para captar clientes. Tras recibir los pagos, incumplía con las entregas y, en varios casos, utilizaba información personal de las víctimas para reportar los equipos como robados y provocar su bloqueo.
La Fiscalía acreditó que al menos 10 personas fueron afectadas por este esquema de fraude. Durante las diligencias también fueron aseguradas 52 tarjetas SIM activadas, las cuales presuntamente eran utilizadas para facilitar las operaciones ilícitas.
Fernández Ramos aceptó los cargos mediante un procedimiento de terminación anticipada, por lo que el proceso concluyó sin llegar a juicio oral. Además de la pena de prisión, el Poder Judicial ordenó el pago de 7 mil 950 soles como reparación civil en favor de las víctimas y de la empresa de telefonía afectada.
Las autoridades peruanas señalaron que este caso refleja el incremento de estafas cometidas a través de redes sociales, por lo que recomendaron verificar la identidad de los vendedores y evitar realizar pagos anticipados sin contar con garantías suficientes sobre la autenticidad de las ofertas.
