#NACIONAL | Víctor Alfonso Martínez Barraza, alias “El Ciego”, de 26 años, fue detenido en Mexicali, Baja California, por autoridades federales y estatales, al ser señalado como integrante de “Los Rusos”, grupo que el Gabinete de Seguridad vincula con el Cártel de Sinaloa.
La captura fue confirmada este jueves por Omar García Harfuch, titular de la Secretaría de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana (SSPC), quien informó que el detenido cuenta con una orden de aprehensión por homicidio calificado con ventaja.
De acuerdo con las autoridades, Martínez Barraza estaría relacionado con la distribución y comercialización de drogas, homicidios, amenazas e intimidación contra elementos de Seguridad. García Harfuch también lo señaló por presuntas actividades de extorsión y sicariato.
La detención derivó de trabajos de investigación e inteligencia que permitieron ubicar la zona de movilidad del sospechoso. Posteriormente, elementos federales y estatales implementaron un operativo en Mexicali, donde localizaron a una persona que coincidía con las características del objetivo y corroboraron su identidad.
En el despliegue participaron la SSPC, Defensa, Marina, Guardia Nacional, Fiscalía General del Estado de Baja California y Fuerza Estatal de Seguridad Ciudadana. Tras su arresto, el hombre fue puesto a disposición del Ministerio Público, que determinará su situación jurídica.
Reportes locales señalan que “El Ciego” ya había sido detenido en 2025 por la posesión de drogas, aunque posteriormente recuperó su libertad al no contar entonces con una orden de aprehensión vigente.
