#NACIONAL | La Presidenta de México, Claudia Sheinbaum, invitó al Papa Leon XIV a visitar México. La mandataria informó en sus redes sociales que «en esta fecha tan especial para el pueblo de México, conversé por llamada telefónica con su santidad el papa León XIV para invitarlo a visitar nuestro país».
Sheinbaum Pardo compartió que el Santo Padre envió bendiciones y saludos a todos en este día de la Virgen de Guadalupe. «Coincidimos en que, más allá de la religión que profese cada persona y de la laicidad del Estado, la Virgen de Guadalupe es símbolo de identidad y paz para las y los mexicanos», señaló.
La invitación fue realizada por la mandataria a través de una llamada telefónica que Sheinbaum sostuvo con el Papa León XIV. De acuerdo con una imagen compartida por la mandataria, estuvieron presentes Rosa Icela Rodríguez, secretaria de Gobernación, y Roberto Velasco Álvarez, titular de la Cancillería.
Guadalupanos, 73% de mexicanos
Este 12 de diciembre, los mexicanos celebran a la Virgen de Guadalupe con una fiesta nacional en la que, la Basílica de Guadalupe es el epicentro de la celebración, misma que se extiende a todas las capillas e iglesias del territorio nacional. Con motivo de la festividad, El Heraldo de México publica una encuesta sobre ello.
Siete de cada 10 mexicanos se asumen como guadalupanos, y consideran el 12 de diciembre como día de celebración y agradecimiento, de acuerdo con la encuesta de QM Estudios de Opinión, en alianza con un medio de comunicación de circulación nacional. A la pregunta: “¿Cree usted en la Virgen de Guadalupe?”, 73 por ciento de los consultados contestó que sí, mientras que 27 por ciento respondió que no es creyente.
